MICAVER® is a unique mineral-based, glass-mica compound, insulator developed by Saint-Gobain Advanced Ceramic Composites, combining the molding and machining capabilities of plastics with all the benefits of ceramics. It offers high temperature resistance, non-fragile behavior, and has excellent insulation properties. The primary manufacturing process involves molding, where controlled particle size mica and special glass are mixed and formed into cylindrical pellets at 600-700°C. The proportion of mica and glass varies, resulting in different properties: MICAVER® C, with more mica, excels in electrical and mechanical performance, while MICAVER® T, with more glass, has a greater vitrified surface excelling in damp resistance.
